privacy policy
last updated: 2026-07-06
this policy explains what tethered (tetheredlink.com) collects, how it's used, and what control you have over it. tethered is part of the manymoats family of products and this policy is designed with privacy in mind.
1. what we collect
- account information — your email address, login credentials, and profile details you provide when you create an account.
- usage & telemetry — basic activity data (pages you build, links you add, feature usage) so we can operate and improve the product.
- payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. we never see or store your card number; we receive only what's needed to manage your subscription (plan, status, billing history).
- the links and pages you build — the content of your tethered page, since that's the product itself.
2. how we use it
we use collected data to run the service, provide support, improve features, and communicate important account or billing notices. we do not sell your data.
3. cookies & local storage
tethered uses cookies and browser local storage for functionality — keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, and basic session handling. where possible we favor an on-device-first approach for things that don't need to leave your browser.
4. sharing
we share data only with the service providers needed to run tethered (for example, hosting and payment processing), and only to the extent needed for them to perform that function. we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. your rights
you can ask us to access, export, or delete your data at any time by emailing support@manymoats.com. we'll respond and handle the request directly.
6. data retention
we keep account and usage data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to handle disputes, comply with legal obligations, or as described in our refund & cancellation policy (paused accounts retain data for 12 months). you can request earlier deletion at any time.
7. children
tethered is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. security
we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
9. changes to this policy
we may update this policy from time to time. material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
10. contact
